The Festival of Trees held at SEAPARC this year boosts another successful year of giving. The seasonal 2013 trees raised just over $2,800 for the Children's Hospital, which is, according to Elizabeth Olsen, "about the same as last year."

The people's choice tree was the Sooke Montessori for their "Snowman Tree." The Seeberger Tree (nicknamed the Lego Tree) was a close second.

This years 10 sponsors were BC Hydro, CRD, Rotary Club, Shopper’s Drugmart, Move This! Dance Studios, the Seeburger family, Sooke Harbour Lions, Sooke Montessori, Kids Art Studio and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 54 (Sooke). Next year's goal according to Olsen is to have 15 trees sponsored.

The money collected will be presented at a cheque ceremony on the Miracle Weekend, which runs from May 31 to June 1, 2014.
