Good Job!

The Sooke Junior Youth Empowerment Group held a modified version of the Free the Children organization’s Halloween for Hunger, a few weeks back. Together with their classmates at Journey Middle School, the group collected over 100 lbs of food donations for the Sooke Food Bank.

The class that collected the most food items were offered a pizza party by Andy the Pizzaman at Sooke 2 for 1. The group, which meets on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m., emphasizes virtues, team work, youth empowerment and social service. For more information call: 778-425-0999.
