Only two non-profit organizations applied by Friday’s due date for a free offering of firewood from the District of Sooke.
District corporate officer Carolyn Mushata said the applications have yet to be reviewed.
Non-profit organizations who are approved will be able to use the logs, which come from the clearing of land on Lot A on Wadams Way, to sell for fundraising.
