More than 60 Red Knights will roll into Sooke this summer as part of an international motorcycle ride.

The Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club is a club for firefighters and their families who ride motorcycles.

The Red Knights western regional rally planned for June 23 to 25 will see bikers from Western Canada and the Northwest U.S. participate.

“It’s a meet and greet to see people you haven’t seen in a while, and it gives everybody a reason for a ride,” said Myles Anderson, a Red Knights spokesperson.

The event begins Friday, June 23 when club members are welcomed with a barbecue at the home of Darrell Thompson on West Coast Road.

On Saturday, June 24, the Red Knights ride the 290-kilometre Pacific Marine Circle Route, returning to Sooke in the evening for a dinner and a night at the Royal Canadian Legion.

On Sunday, June 25, club members are served breakfast and return home.
