Well known Vancouver Island artist Sue Coleman will show her work at Gallery West in South Shore Gallery, 2046 Otter Point Rd, from August 24 to September 24, 2013.
For over 25 years Sue Coleman has earned international recognition for her distinctive watercolour paintings. Especially popular have been her ‘Interpretive’ Northwest Coast First Nations images, which have been reproduced and sold to collectors worldwide.
Many in Sooke will remember when Sue had her home and studio in Metchosin. She now maintains a studio in Cowichan Bay, and paints a variety of subjects from misty west-coast scenes, wildlife, landscapes and more. Sue actively works to promote environmental awareness and wildlife conservation.
The September show in Sooke at Gallery West, South Shore Gallery, will include original paintings, limited edition reproductions and art cards.
Sue Coleman will be in the Gallery the afternoon of Saturday, September 14, 2-4 p.m.
