Journey students collect shoe box gifts

journeyyouth.jpg

Journey Middle School students and staff worked together for the past two weeks to collect 84 shoe boxes gifts for kids who live in extreme poverty in Central and South America.

Mrs. Lennox’s grade 8 students, who presented and encouraged the entire school to take part in this project, themselves each brought in one or more shoe box gifts, filled with school supplies and personal hygiene items so that the kids in these countries will have a chance to attend a school.

This is Journey’s 13th year of participating in Operation Shoe Box.
