Sooke council members have earmarked $29,516.50 to attend four conferences next year.
The conferences include: the Local Government Leadership Academy in Richmond, Feb. 3 to 5; Association of Vancouver Island Coastal Communities convention in Nanaimo, April 8 to 10; Federation of Canadian Municipalities convention in Winnipeg, June 3 to 5; and the Union of B.C. Municipalities convention in Victoria, Sept. 26 to 30.
Last year council’s conference and education budget was $27,591.
