A 30-year-old Sooke man is facing five drug and weapon charges following a police investigation.

On Oct. 31, RCMP raided a home in the 6700 block of Eustace Road to investigate a man allegedly trafficking drugs.

Police say Steven Cody Wilson faces five charges including possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of psylocibin mushrooms for the purpose of trafficking, possession of an prohibited weapon, and possession of an unregistered restricted handgun.

“This joint investigation has curtailed the activity of a high volume, and diversified drug trafficker who deals primarily to other dealers and users within the community of Sooke.” said Staff Sgt. Jeff McArthur, at the time of Wilson’s arrest.

Wilson’s next court appearance is Feb. 23 in Victoria.
