Sooke RCMP officers wrote 11 tickets during a traffic blitz on West Coast Road on Sunday.
Of the 11 tickets issued, nine were handed out for speeds in excess of 21 km/h over the speed limit.
Five of the tickets were issued to Sooke residents, three were from Victoria, one from Saskatoon, and one from Tennessee.
Police are conducting increased enforcement on Highway 14.
This initiative comes as the result of public complaints about excessive speed and increased traffic on Westcoast Road – especially on the weekends.
