It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annelori Editha Charlotte Eberhardt born on March 3 1928 and left us on May 30th 2017. She now joins her husband Kurt on the other side of life. She is survived by her sons Gary (Phikun) and Thomas (Kerry) as well as grandchildren Thea and Tyler and great grandchildren Hunter and Abigale. Lori came to Canada in 1954 and worked her trade as an X-ray technician in Toronto. She met her future husband Kurt when he had to have an X-Ray done that same year. They worked hard, started a family and enjoyed life in the Big Smoke until 1975. After a few cross Canada trips they decided to move away from the big city and settled into Fernie BC where they built their own house. She continued working at the hospital there until age 65 and loved her job and the many people she worked with. They enjoyed their lives in Fernie until 2001, and then moved to Sooke. Her father once told her to “move west” and she certainly took his advice to heart. Lori enjoyed the community of Sooke very much and made many friends. She moved into Ayre Manor when it first opened in 2009. We’d like to thank all the staff at Ayre Manor for their kind care over the years. They have become good friends to our family. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the SPCA in memory of Lori. She, and Kurt, were great animal and nature lovers and it seemed there was always a family pet or two or three in the family.
