Frederick Joseph Zarelli

October 2, 2016

Fred spent most of his adult life in the Sooke area. He worked in various vocations. His passion was working in the forest industry. After his retirement he worked weekends at various wood lots for Timber West. He did this well into his 80’s.

Fred had a wealth of knowledge about the Sooke area. In the event someone could not recall a specific event they would always call Fred. He knew.

Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was renowned for his smoked salmon.

Fred was an extremely generous man. He always helped someone in need. He donated several artifacts to the Sooke Museum.

Fred will be greatly missed by his daughter Caroline, sister Ilene, brother Tommy (Lisa), granddaughters Tara and Tonya and several great grand children. He was an integral part of Sooke and will always be remembered by his colleagues and multitude of friends.

Rest easy dear friend. You were a very special human being.
