It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Velma Dora Catherine Jessiman on April 13, 2024. Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to whomever she met.
Predeceased by her husband Frank in 1996 and survived by her sons Bill & Deanna (Joe, Andrea, Luke & Blake) (Dan , Andrea, Riley & Hudson) (Mike, Ainslee & Atticus ). Alec & Cydney (James & Bree Aaron & Cullen) (Jordan & Colton) (Bethany & Kendra)
Born June 13, 1929 in Victoria, B.C. to Lily & Claude Cook , she lived on the same family property in Otter Point her whole life .
She did a lot in the Sooke Community volunteering with the Sooke Museum, Sooke Lions Club, Shirley Womens Institute , and many more, when a hand was needed she was there. She also did flowers for many weddings over the years.
She loved to visit with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and adored them as they adored her.
She was very much loved
and will be very missed!
Thank you to Dr. Keith Losie for being such a wonderful kind doctor over the years. Also a big thank you to all the nurses at Victoria General for their wonderful kindness.
