A threat to democracy

Contempt of Parliament, which brought down the Conservatives under Stephen Harper, is a very serious threat to democracy and an insult to the people of Canada.

Yet, this important issue has been widely ignored in the election coverage by the media. The public needs to be well informed before deciding on a party, based on empty promises made for some date in the future (three or four years) and contingent on certain conditions (balancing the budget).

By casting their votes in favour of a party whose leader wants a majority, does not believe in cooperating with the opposition and after repeatedly making a mockery of democracy, is paramount to electing a dictatorship.
