Let me state that I’m a dog lover and believe dogs need freedom and space to exercise.
But I’m also a municipal tax payer thinking $14,000-$25,000 for a dog park is pretty pricey.
Sooke already has one of the best off-leash dog areas in the south Island... Whiffen Spit.
All that is required would be a sign at the entrance advising walkers the Spit is an off-leash area.
Save some money and make a large group of dogs and owners hapoy.
