Yes, Adele, your dad certainly is worth remembering. The “boys” you mentioned in the last issue of the Sooke News Mirror continue to have good memories of the time he spent with us in the 1950s.
Andy Foley was a great mentor and he instilled in us the values of discipline and fair play. With coaches like Andy, Fred Lajeunesse, Buster Monk and Wally Butler, we were able to capture two British Columbia softball championships.
