Not so silent majority
I guess the frequent writer from Shirley doesn’t really understand “silent majority.” One can’t speak for the silent majority. They are, by definition, silent. The writer from Shirley is definitely not silent and therefore not even part of the silent majority.
Since I haven’t spoken out on the issue that has his/her knickers in a knot, I guess I’m also part of the silent majority. The writer from Shirley does not speak for me.
I would really like it if all letter writers could just state their case without resorting to personal put-downs.
To suggest that a woman who grew up in this community ought to move to Saanich is beyond the beyond.
