KidSport Greater Victoria has hit a major milestone: the organization has funded 10,000 local children in need into sport.
Since 2002, KidSport Greater Victoria has enabled children from families facing financial barriers to access the positive experience of sport and physical activity. Exactly 15 years later, their reach – and the demand from local children and families – has increased dramatically.
This year, KidSport Greater Victoria anticipates reaching over 1,500 kids, at a cost of $420,000 – double the annual funding distributed five years ago.
