The Sooke Trail and Road Runners (STARR) running club hosts a free seminar at Edward Milne Community School on Jan. 24.

Why Do We Run? is for both runners and non-runners. Among the topics discussed: Why do we run?; physical benefits of running; competition and racing ; and adventure and fun in running.

A discussion at the end of the evening will allow attendees to share their experiences and ideas.

Why Do We Run? is a follow up to Frontrunners’ Nick Walker’s Let’s Talk Running session at EMCS last January.

The seminar runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
