Sooke U14 boys captured the gold in the rep. division during Provincials at Richmond over the weekend with a solid team effort. Getting stellar pitching all weekend from Tyson Friesen, Dale Arden and Nin Dougall, the Sooke boys breezed through the round robin section of the tournament undefeated. The highlight was the 5-4 victory over the home squad Mariners.

They worked through some anxious moments and held onto the lead throughout the game to take the gold by a 10-7 score.

Consistent hitting by Keiran Connor, Boston Greenhough, Quinn Titchkosky, Noah Wass, Jackson Smith, Tyson Friesen and Nin Dougall carried the Sooke offense throughout the tournament. Great all-round team play from Matt Mclain, Arran Wass-Little, Oliver Forcier, Erik Arts and Grant Lewers. They were a huge factor in the Sooke squad capturing the championship.
