The first phase of renovations at the View Royal Casino, now called Elements Casino Victoria, is slated to open this winter and the economic benefits of the project are already shining through.

Since the project started earlier this year, the casino’s operator Great Canadian Gaming Corporation said they have contracted more than 70 professionals including local trades and vendors. Now they are turning their focus to filling roughly 100 positions at the casino.

“We are extremely excited about growing our team and finding great talent within our community,” said Chris Lynn, executive director of Vancouver Island casino operations, in a statement.

Career opportunities include servers and bartenders, chefs, security officers, table games dealers, surveillance operators as well as operational roles in the finance, human resources and marketing departments.

The final phase of the project will be completed in early 2018 and will replace the existing casino. To learn more about job opportunities, go to elementscasinovictoria.com
