Sports fans rejoice: a new sports lounge is coming to Sooke.

Called The Vault, the locale will be opening up its doors next month at the Prestige Oceanfront Resort, tucked in the space of the former Yasaki’s restaurant.

“This is an idea we’ve been toying around with for a while,” said West Coast Grill corporate sales and marketing manager Dan Houle, who’s helped nurse the project along for the last year or so.

The “intimate-sized room” can seat 30, plus a patio that can seat an additional 20 people. The lounge will also feature several big-screen TVs to help create that sports atmosphere, Houle said.

In addition, Houle’s staff will be running a new menu as well, with the focus on creating hearty home-cooked meals.

A launch party to will be held, though exact dates are still in the works.
