Crime and mystery writer used Sooke in her Holly Martin series

Sooke author Lou Allin left this earthly plane on July 10. Allin was a well-known crime and mystery writer who wrote the Belle Palmer series and the Holly Martin series.

The Holly Martin series was based on the West Coast and include many references to Sooke and the characters who loved and worked there. They include: And on the Surface Die, She Felt No Pain and Twilight is not Good for Maidens.
