BEEF TO ALL MOYOTRCYCLE HATERS. Have you ever tried to hold onto an idling 1000-pound motorbike? No. I didn’t think so. These bikers who ride on the shoulder of the road are not jerks. They are not trying to get ahead of everyone else. They are simply trying to stay upright and safe. Please try to be more understanding. Motorcycles have been around since 1885 — get used to them!
BOUQUET to those who have worked towards improving walk-ability, bike-ability and drive-ability in Sooke and on the highway. In particular, I’m enjoying the brightly lit new four-lane highway and well designed and landscaped Church Road roundabout.
BEEF to those who continue to support socialism. This political way of thinking has an inevitable and historical end game. It has yet to wash upon our shores, but it will one day soon.
BOUQUET to the family on Grant Road who were moving and left a complete Wii system out for free. Please think of this senior woman who has been wanting one for years! It was raining outside today, and I had such fun while using it that I laughed out loud. Thank you for helping me get fitter and healthier.
DANGEROUS BEEF to the woman driving along West Coast Road with a white dog between her and the steering wheel.
BOUQUET to the warm-hearted people of Sooke. Thank you for making Sooke not just a place, but a home in the hearts of many.
BEEF TO DOG OWNERS who don’t pick up after their pets. It’s disgusting to leave dog poop everywhere for others to find.
BOUQUET to the two super gentleman who interrupted their cycling journey to stop and change my flat tire. They happened to be riding on the Galloping Goose Trail at just the right moment to save the day. Thank you so much.
TIME for the Canadian government to overhaul or get rid of the postal service. A package sent to me from Richmond went to Winnipeg then came here to Sooke. Two weeks. No wonder mail gets lost. The few postal workers I am loosely acquainted with abuse their workplace benefits costing the system huge money.
