Several churches in Sooke will join others across the country in a special Remembrance Day tribute on Sunday.
The Bells of Peace Commemorative Ceremony is a Royal Canadian Legion initiative taking place across the country.
Bells will ring 100 times on Nov. 11 to coincide with sunset at 4:40 p.m. to mark the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice, marking the end of the First World War. The ringing will be staggered across the country as the sunset occur, east to west.
