One bike. 30 seats. 20 minutes. Two kilometres.
For the first time ever, the Big Bike is coming to Sooke.
A fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Big Bike is made of 29 riders who pledge $50 or more to support heart disease and stroke research. On event day, a foundation driver will accompany participants through the community on a two-kilometre ride.
Last year, more than 70,000 riders in 200 communities across Canada, helped raise more than $8 million for research.
The Sooke ride will take place June 9.
