We all know that annoying feeling when you plug in Christmas string lights and the bulbs are no longer working. Many people don’t know what to do with that pesky string once it’s reached the end of its useful life.

Thankfully, they can be recycled, says Product Care Recyling, a non-profit organization.

Non-fuctioning bulbs and strands can be recycled at the Alpine Disposal & Recycling, 1045 Dunford Ave., in Langford. Drop off is free until Dec. 28.
