Telling it like it is.

On Wednesday June 4, the Leadership students of Journey middle school took to the streets to make a change for the better in our community.  During the evening rush hour, they held up signs to passing motorists at the intersection of Church Road and Sooke Road, imploring drivers to put down their phones and pay attention to the road.

Distracted Driving has now surpassed Impaired Driving as being a causal factor for traffic fatalities in British Columbia. These kids are doing what they can to lower that number and improve road safety in Sooke.
