Move over Molly, Charlie’s the top dog in Oak Bay.
Molly, the top name in 2020, got the boot and dropped to third among registered dogs in the community for 2021.
Daisy fills second position. Luna, Max, Poppy, Lucy, Sadie, Scout, Teddy round out the Top 10.
The most popular of Oak Bay’s 1,586 registered dogs is the Labrador retriever. In a continuing theme, the next three are golden retriever, labradoodle and golden doodle. Havanese, German shepherd, standard poodle, cairn terrier, border collie and French bulldog round out the Top 10 breeds.
All dogs over the age of four months must be licensed every year with the district. Dog licences and renewals are available online at oakbay.ca.
