After a three-year absence, an open house and salmon barbecue will return to the Sooke Region Museum and Visitors Centre.
This year’s event on June 25 from noon to 3 p.m. will be organized by Sooke Region Historical Society vice-president Laurie Szadkowski, board member Laurie Wallace, and gift shop manager Beverley Myers.
The event will feature tours of the exhibits, including a visit to Moss Cottage with Aunt Tilly and a chance to explore the visitors’ centre and gift shop.
The upstairs gallery will have a temporary visiting exhibit called Cultures of Head Coverings.
The event is free to attend, with food tickets available for purchase.
Attendees can enjoy a salmon dinner with all the fixings or choose burgers, hot dogs, and strawberry shortcake.
