PHOTOS: The West Shore turns into a winter wonderland of snow

Tobogganers make the best of the snow on Colwood hill

Families and children were out in full force Thursday (Dec. 30), making the most of the snow sledding down a hill near Colwood city hall.

Using everything from classic toboggans, foam body boards and plastic magic carpets smiling and laughing kids made repeated runs up and down the hill. Even when the odd crash happened, it wasn’t able to dampen the mood.

Unfortunately though, it looks as if the snow won’t be lasting much longer. Environment Canada is predicting temperatures to climb above freezing come the weekend, with rain in the forecast for early next week.
