Annual flag raising signifies start of Poppy Campaign in Sooke

The Poppy Flag was raised at the Sooke municipal hall and signals the beginning of the sale of poppies by the Royal Canadian Legion and its members and supporters. Poppies are sold from November 1 to November 11.

Mayor Wendal Milne was pinned with the poppy while Fire Chief Steve Sorensen gets ready to raise the flag.
