Protect Our Coast rally set for EMCS on Wednesday

Participants are invited to bring a ligh to this peaceful response to Ottawa’s recent approval of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

The Sooke chapter of the Dogwood Initiative is organizing a Protect Our Coast rally Wednesday (Dec. 21), outside Edward Milne Community School.

Participants are invited to bring a light (candle or flashlight) to this peaceful response to Ottawa’s recent approval of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

Charles Campbell from Dogwood’s head office and local businessperson Diane Bernard will speak, and musician Phil Rossner will lead a singalong. Everyone is also invited to bring a homemade sign or banner.

The rally begins at 4 p.m.
