Harmony Project Sooke is set to begin fall classes in the third week of September.

Two classes in drumline (marching band style drumming), and two classes in strings (violin, viola, cello) will be offered.

Classes meet at Journey Middle School and take place outside of the school.

The program is free to those who otherwise would not be able to participate.

HPS is particularly excited to offer a new beginning dumline class which has openings for seven students in grades six and up. It will take place on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

“Many concerts and events are on the agenda for the year,” said executive director Lorna Bjorklund.
