Island Health’s littlest patients get an early visit from Santa and his biker friends. Members of Island Bike Life and Helmet Heads Canada deliver presents to Jeneece Place this weekend.

As many as 50 bikers plan to meet at the Mayfair Shopping Centre parking lot following the Santa Light Parade Saturday. The motorcyclists will ride down Island Highway to Victoria General Hospital via Burnside Road. Santa and his two-wheeled elves will circle the hospital so that children on the pediatrics floor (and all other patients and staff) can see their holiday spirit/wheelies before the festive group delivers gifts to Jeneece Place.

The gifts will go to children at Victoria General Hospital and children and youth at Ledger House. Approximately 50 children and teens are expected to spend the holiday season at those sites.

The drive leaves Mayfair around 6:45 p.m. on Nov 24, arriving at Jeneece Place around 7:30 p.m.
