Smoke on the water: Sooke Basin blanketed with smoke instead of fog

Wildfire smoke covering Greater Victoria skies

Wildfire smoke has drifted to Vancouver Island, prompting an air quality warning on top of a heat warning in mid-August.

The normally fog-filled Sooke Basin was blanketed in with smoke on Aug. 12.
