After a successful Christmas season with the Classic Christmas concert series, including a full house performance at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria, the Sooke Community Choir is in full swing rehearsals for its Spring Concert series.

This season’s repertoire consists of pieces that have all been recent musical Hits.

The show brings together fresh music arrangements from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, with a distinctly popular flavour and rock band accompaniment.

Concert-goers will hear music made popular by Adele, Ed Sheeran, Radiohead and Stevie Nicks as well as Michael Buble, Moses Hogan, Neil Diamond and The Pentatonix.

The choir will be joined by three special guests: Mark Owen on percussion, Steve Cross on guitars and pianist Kathy Russell.

Performances take place at the Sooke Community Hall, 2037 Shields Rd. on May 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. and May 6 at 2 p.m.
