The Sooke Harbour Toastmasters Club will recognize club and member achievements at a special meeting on Sept. 17.

Area director Karen Hall will present the President’s Distinguished Award to the club and the Distinguished Toastmaster award to local speaker Peter Scott. Both are the highest awards in their categories.

Several other members will receive educational awards and new members will be inducted into the club.

All are welcome to see how a Toastmasters club helps its members become better communicators and leaders.

The meeting is at Ayre Manor Lodge, 6754 Ayre Manor Rd., beginning at 6:45 p.m.
