The Sooke library is finally accessible

New automatic doors make it easier for those with diabilities

Now a person living with disability in Sooke has access to  knowledge. Yes, finally after waiting for over five months. A request was made by ACWA Group back in July to see if the public library would be willing to install an automatic door, for users that may have difficulty with opening the door or simply would not go to the library, because it was to accessible.

Since the end of 2013, the library in Sooke now welcomes persons with disability, utilizing a mechanical device to get easy access to the library as well as for all the users that come to the library. Knowledge is for everyone, just like accessibility.
