What better way to honour someone than hold a music concert in their memory.

That’s essentially the idea with David Gogo: Vicksburg Call performance on May 20 at the Dave Dunnet Community Theatre at Oak Bay High School, with all proceeds going towards a scholarship to honour the memory of West Shore RCMP Const. Sarah Beckett.

Beckett, a Sooke resident and a mother of two, was killed in Langford last spring when her police cruiser was struck by a pickup truck.

Tickets ($25 advance, $30 at the door) are available in Sooke at the Shoppers Drug Mart, as well as in-town locations, Langford City Hall, Langford Fire Rescue Hall No. 1, Bitex Sandwich Bar, and Ivy’s Book Shop.

Doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
