For all the John Lennon fans in Sooke, you are in for a treat.

Join Phil Rossner (a.k.a Boz Roz) at the Temple Home (1908 Billings Road) in Sooke as he presents his new one-person show Remembering John on Dec 8.

The musical and theatrical performance will aim to capture and showcase the persona of Lennon.

“It took me a long time to resolve how to effectively present the show,” said Rossner in a press release.

He explained that he has done shows featuring Lennon’s music in the past, but wanted to take it up a notch by adding the theatrical impersonation of him as well.

The show is intended to be a sort of memorial for Lennon as it is being performed on the day he died 37 years ago.

“He was like a musical big brother to me, and like so many others, I still carry the sadness that he is no longer with us,” said Rossner.

Rossner hopes to eventually take the act on tour, and says the community is encouraged to give feedback at the end of the performance.

Tickets cost $10 to $20, based on a sliding scale, and can be purchased at the door. Parking and seating is limited, so if you would like to reserve a spot, send an email to bozroz@gmail.com.
