On May 31, grade four and five students – with some grade three's thrown in for good measure – put their physical abilities to the test at the second annual Sooke-Based Elementary Schools’ track meet at EMCS.
The event was gender inclusive, meaning the races were not separated by gender. Events included the four by 100 relay, shot put, 100 m, 400 m and 800 m races.
"It's such a great community event with lots of parents and families supporting. It was a great day," said Gord Johnson, principal of Saseenos Elementary.
