Joanne Warr turned 99 on Sept. 30.

Happy 99th Birthday!

Local one year away from a century

Joanne Warr was honoured by the Royal Bank on her birthday on Friday, Sept. 30. She was born on Sept. 30, 1912. The bank had a cake for her and she was thrilled.

Her secret, she said, is that she doesn’t smoke or drink. She is a healthy eater, has good friends and the best sense of humour… and “I don’t have a man to worry me to death,” she said with a chuckle.
