Local businesses have some candy up their sleeves to make sure kids are safe and and treated sweetly this Halloween.
After the success of last year's inaugural Sooketacular Halloween, businesses in Sea View Business Centre and across the parking lot will be handing out sweet treats from 3 to 5 p.m. on Oct. 31.
"It's a fun and safe way to trick or treat, and for local businesses to interact," said Enertech office administrator Janet McTavish, one of the event's organizers.
"We'll have tables set up outside, and we'll also be spinning Halloween tunes and family fun music from our second-storey window," she said.
More than 250 kids took advantage of the candy last year.
McTavish thanked all of the businesses involved for making the event a fun-filled success.
