2 dogs, 2 humans: 4 new faces for Greater Victoria integrated police unit

Knox and Basco join police dog unit serving Saanich, Victoria, Esquimalt and Oak Bay

New year, new growth for the Integrated Canine Service of police dogs and handlers that serve the region.

Recently adding Oak Bay to its coverage area, the canine team added four new faces: two handlers and two dogs. The four officers – Const. Jordan Deverill and his partner Knox and Const. Harrison Coster and Basco  – recently completed certification.

Formed in 2021, the Integrated Canine Service is a specialized police dog unit that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering tracking and apprehension, evidence searches and other critical services.
