One person is in hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries after being hit by a driver early Wednesday morning in Victoria.

VicPD is calling for dash cam footage and witnesses after a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Douglas and Yates streets on Oct. 2 around 6:30 a.m.

Victoria police closed the intersection which reopened to traffic around 9 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing, the department said in a news release, calling for anyone who has footage or has not spoken with officers to call 250-995-7654 extension 1.
