Man arrested for assault with a weapon at Langford construction site

One man was arrested by West Shore RCMP officers for a suspected attack on another man with an edged weapon.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, RCMP officers responded to a report of an assault with a weapon that had taken place at a construction site located near the 1400 block of Atlas Drive in Langford.

Police attended the scene and learned that an altercation had taken place between the two men, and the suspect was arrested without further incident.

"The suspect, who is identified as a 54-year-old man, appeared before the court and was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He was released on a release order with numerous conditions and an upcoming court date of April 3," noted a release from the RCMP.

This matter is now before the courts and no further information will be shared by police at this time.
