1500 Sooke B.C. Hydro customers are without power right now due to a tree down across a wire.
The outage happened at approximately 1 p.m., near the intersection of Park Heights Road and East Sooke Road, and hydro crews are currently on site working to resolve the issue.
East Sooke Firefighters say the tree on the line also sparked a small brush fire, which is now out.
There is currently no further information as to when power will be restored.
