An Esquimalt Liquor store has re-opened its doors after its glass building was damaged by vandals Saturday night.
Tudor House Liquor Store posted to Facebook Sunday morning to say it hoped to be open by noon.
“It appears our shop was vandalized last night, causing great damage to our front entrance windows. We want to ensure the safety of our staff, customers and public before we open our doors,” the post reads. “There is an investigation in course and if you have any information that can help us identify this person, please report it to the Victoria police or Victoria crime stoppers.”
The Liquor store confirmed that the incident occurred between 1:15 a.m. and 1:40 a.m.
“[Five] panels of glass were affected and may take months to replace as they are custom pieces,” the store said. “There was no acesss to the interior of our shop, so nothing was stolen and the damaged glass is mostly on the top.”
Victoria Police are still investigating the incident. The store had an emergency glass crew take the damaged glass down immediately and the store is now up and running.
