Burning restrictions begin tonight

The ban is for all outdoor burning, except campfires.

Burning restrictions came into effect in Sooke on Monday, due to fire danger levels and increased fire activity.

The ban is for all outdoor burning, except camp fires.

East Sooke has already banned burning.

Burning bans take effect in Metchosin and Otter Point on May 15.
