Car crash turns up stolen goods

While the cause of the accident is unknown, the driver faces charges due to theft of several items, including the vehicle itself.

A car that crashed in the 1900 block of Gillespie Road on Thursday confounded emergency officials after they found it was filled with a range of bizarre cargo, including vehicle batteries, two gas tanks for welding, two filled jerry cans, several aerosol cans, a laptop computer, two outriggers and a set of electric power tools.

Michael Alexander Bruce, 28, faces 11 charges including possession of stolen property, driving while prohibited, driving while suspended and possession of a controlled substance.
